COMMUNITY SERVICE

Reaching out into our communities is vital to our organization, developing relationships with community leaders, media, school faculty and local civic groups can greatly assist each post in achieving the VFW mission.
 
Home Fire Safety
In cooperation with the American Red Cross, members of VFW Post 5844 will install smoke alarms in your home.  Call the American Red Cross at (816) 385-5955 for a free 10-year battery powered smoke alarm and tell them VFW Post 5844 will perform the install.  When we receive your smoke alarm, one of our members will contact you to schedule installation.
